    >By telling the Palestinians that the time had come for them to go first in stopping terror and incitement, Bush sounded a lot like former Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu: “If they give; they’ll receive; if they don’t give, they won’t receive.”

On the other hand he then proceeded to inflict the Road Map which, just like Oslo, demanded (de facto) unilateral Israeli concessions in exchange for meaningless Arab statements.

He also gave us Condoleeze (Ich bin ein Palestinian!) Rice, don’t forget.

In truth, Israel has had many “friends” in the White House but the last real pro-Israel one was Ronald Reagan. Since then, we’ve had friends we can do without.

    Coulda, woulda, shoulda.

    Really.

There is zero evidence that Israel could have won that war in Lebanon. Rabbi Rosenblum knows doesn’t offer any evidence to the contrary here–just wishful thinking.

It’s the same for the political situation today: We have no support for anything tough. The Bush administration is talking about opening diplomatic relations with Iran, not Israel attacking Iran. In fact Bush is reported as having told Ulmert not to attack Iran period. At the same time Bush is trying to force Israeli withdrawal to the adjusted ’67 borders. And that’s our friends. Forget about France. And then we have enemies…

    Really. Get realistic.
